What to Expect:
Comprehensive Exam and X-Rays
All first-time patients will undergo a comprehensive exam and set of full-mouth x-rays. X-rays are a means of diagnosing problems that can otherwise go unnoticed. Tooth decay, abscesses, impacted teeth, or jawbone damage will all be visible on an x-ray. He will also evaluate your risk of gum disease, developing other oral health problems, as well as check your face, neck and mouth for abnormalities. Dr. Davis will be sure to listen to your chief complaints, concerns and expectations.
Your Treatment Plan
After your dental exam, Dr. Davis will discuss your oral health, including your risk of tooth decay, gum disease and any other oral health problems, and preventive measures you can take to improve and protect your oral health. He will also determine how much time we will need to reserve for your cleaning with our hygienist.
New Patient Forms
Since it will be your first time at The Dentist of Summerlin, we ask that you please complete the New Patient forms. Evaluating your medical history allows us to get a better understanding of your dental care needs. The forms will take some time to fill out, so we recommend coming 10-15 minutes before your appointment if you are unable to fill out the forms beforehand.
In our effort to reduce paper use and waste, we have a link to our online New Patient forms that takes the information you input and places it in your patient chart without the need for paper.
However, if you would rather print and fill out our New Patient forms you may use the following document and bring the completed forms with you to your appointment.
